• Hi,

I changed my wordpress theme to 2Exquisite 2.0. I’d like to change some things in the CSS. The theme comes with the note “All of this theme’s files are located in /themes/2Exquisite.” Where do I find this folder? Or any files, for that matter? Sorry, I am new to this!

    Thanks,
    Rosana

  • huh? so you are connected to your server by ftp?

what can’t you find? you have your blog installed on a subdomain, so you may have to go to a blog directory first, then wp-content, then themes, then 2Exquisite

    there should be your theme.

to reupload the WP core files, you would first DL a fresh copy of WP from here
    https://www.ads-software.com/download/

and upload the wp-includes and wp-admin folders over the old ones in your blog directory

@rvoodoo, Dreamweaver can be flakey at times. However, if you setup a FTP site as opposed to a Site it works perfectly. (I am using CS4) I still use FileZilla often because it’s easy to set file permissions.

@rfrances, What version of WP are you currently using? If you are using the newest you probably can just download WordPress again (from the WP site) and upload the two folders mentioned earlier to the proper directory.

I am using the latest version of wordpress. Just tried filezilla with no better results than before. So I will try downloading again, thanks!

RVoodo: I can see all my wordpress themes–except the one I now have installed. Yes, I am connected to my server via FTP, and that works fine. I just don’t see the new theme’s files anywhere. All those other folders are there.

If you uploaded a fresh copy of wp-content over your existing one then you won’t have your theme folder anywhere. Hopefully, you’ve made a backup.
