Thanks Owain, I wish it were easier, I’d bet most of us don’t have an ISP who would send more than cursory responses to our messages, much less upgraded PHP for us.

For instance, I spent months trying to get BC Math turned on and eventually gave up. So back-grading is a necessary evil for most of us.

Perhaps its time to look for a better host ??

I changed hosting companies to namecheap. works fine now. they have newer php versions so all is well. the newer version of this plugin works fine now.

namecheap works great. so far I”m happy with their hosting and their features. faster than my old host even. glad I made the switch. first year is just $9.88 with the value plan. thats the one I got. works great for my needs.
