  • Hey, thanks for reaching out, I’ll gladly help!

To what search function are you referring to exactly? Do you mean about the search window with which you can use our plugin with?

If yes, than I’m glad to inform you that it’s there where it has always been, since our plugin uses the WordPress’s default search engine, which is placed on your blog by the theme you are using.

Or are you missing this search box on your blog? Is our plugin not showing you the results you are looking for?

Let us know what’s the blog in questions or what’s exactly going on, and we’ll do our best to help you out! Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo

    https://fancy.com/search?q=apple

    sincerely

Hey, thanks for getting back to me, much appreciated!

Our plugin offers more specific results than the ones that are available through the default WordPress’s search engine, but it uses the same search bar for your search queries.

That said, I’m sorry to say that our plugin does not offer any visual customizations, since — as mentioned above — we don’t actually control the “looks” of the search bar. I strongly recommend you to try to look for those changes in the WordPress’s theme editor or some other plugin who will offer you what you are actually searching for.

Sorry for disappointing you, but I’m afraid our plugin simply does not offer the solutions you are looking for.

But please do let me know if you do have any other questions regarding our plugin and I’ll do my best to help you out!

Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,
    Silvo

    Hello,

i installed the plugin and i had the same question to myself, where to find a shortcode or a widget to show the search form to visitors at the front end. I suggest you to explain in the description of the plugin that it uses the default WP search form, would be much clearer… ??

I installed this plugin because my default search does not work, whatever i am looking for, it turns to zero result. When i search with the trial search form of your plugin in the admin side, it works very well, it finds every word and it highlights too. But as i am obliged to use the default WP search form, it turns zero result at the front end, even with your plugin… do you have some idea what is wrong or how can i avoid using default WP search form to make your plugin working on front end ?

    Thanks in advance !

    Hey Igor,

thanks for the heads up! We thought we made it clear enough in the description page: Search Everything improves WordPress default search functionality without modifying any of the template pages., but I guess we will have to make it even more clearer.
Now, to your problem: would you be so kind and give us the link to your blog, so that we can take a closer look? Maybe there is some conflict with your theme and the search function. Also, a code of your search.php file would be much appreciated. You can find it in the “Appearances”-> “Editor”-> “Search Results”.

    Looking forward to your reply,
    Petra
