• Alright, so I installed this blog a few days ago. As of last night, there were about 15 posts on it. I added a post this morning, and when it published I went to edit a previous post. I found that all my posts were gone except for the one I’d just published. I visited my blog and found that the theme had reverted back to the default them. I went to my plugins and found that none of them were activated.
    Here’s some more info:
    Wordpress 2.7
Theme: adsminded wide (customized, but other blogs with this exact same customized theme are still working).
    Plugins:
    All in One SEO Pack
    Google XML Sitemaps
    wp-cache
    WP Tags to Technorati

Any ideas about what could have caused this problem?

  • If you do Posts->Edit and don’t see the posts or you use phpMyAdmin and look at the wp_posts table and don’t see your posts I’d guess someone restored the MySQL database (hosts sometimes do that unfortunately).

Or somehow the $table_prefix in wp-config.php got changed and a new instance of WordPress tables got created. You would also see that via phpMyAdmin.
