• I built the site ages ago and now want to modify the links in the header. Trouble is, I can’t remember how I did it.
    It’s not in the theme’s header.php (twenty twenty) and I don’t have any menus defined.
    Here’s a link to a screenshot showing the results of inspecting the element
    As you’ll see, the div has a class of “header-navigation-wrapper”.
    I’ve looked through all the options in “customizing”, including menus (It doesn’t look like your site has any menus yet. Want to build one? Click the button to start.)
    Help!

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, hightonridley, are there any settings set from within the appearance menu screen?

    (WordPress Dashboard – ‘Appearance’ menu on the left-hand side of the Dashboard, ‘Menus’ option.)

    No, there’s nothing set there:
    appearance->menu settings screen

    Since you don’t remember creating the menu, and there is no menu created in the back-end, I’m gonna go ahead and guess that the theme automatically creates a menu and displays it, as it is listed in the Inspect as the primary menu.

    So the solution then would have to be to go ahead and create your own menu. Then you can customize it as you see fit.

    Or add some css to hide the menu or edit the header.php to remove the menu altogether, if that’s what you want.

    No, it wasn’t automatically created, @saladgoat. I do remember having to mess around to get the page links there that I wanted.
    Weird.
