I just updated to WordPress 6.6, and it broke my site’s fonts. (YES I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE BACKED UP BEFORE UPDATING YES I AM TRASH YOU DON’T NEED TO TELL ME THAT)

Not all my fonts are broken. Lower-level headers still display as they ought to. But my site title font (which is the same as my lower-level header font—why one displays correctly and the other doesn’t, I have no idea) and my body type font are wrecked. Times New Roman on my PC, a Helvetica clone on my phone. The fonts I’ve been using happily for the last year and a half don’t even appear as options when I try to edit styles. The options that do appear are dreary. I don’t want to switch to new fonts. I loved the ones I had. I want them back.

Is this fixable? If so, how?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Looks like I had to go in and manually reactivate Google Fonts, then manually reinstall and re-select the fonts for my text and headers. Cripes, what a nuisance.

I have the same issue. As soon as I upgrade a site to 6.6 then Google Fonts already installed disappear and I can no longer install any. I always get an error “There was an error installing fonts.”

This is not a particularly helpful error so I have no idea how to fix. On one site, the button to enable Google Fonts appeared and I clicked it, but I still get the error when trying to install. On another site, there is no button to enable and I always get the error.
