• Please help,

I want the default front page with my most recent posts to serve as my home page, but it seems to be gone.

My oldest post kept appearing as the home page, so I removed the home page from the page menu bar (via the theme options). The old post still appeared on the default front page, so I deleted the post. Then I got the following message on my front page.

    Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.

I have changed my settings to the static About page as a temporary fix, but now what? I could make and set a static Posts page to serve as my home page, but I’d like to know where the typical posts-instead-of-static-page default went. Someone else had a similar issue with the ahatuhalpa theme (see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/343519?replies=3), but the current thread didn’t help with my question.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • How many published posts do you currently have?

    Six.

Have you tried switching to the default theme to determine whether this is a theme-related problem?

As an inexperienced user, I’m afraid to, but based upon the other person’s question, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case.

Hmmm… this issue seems to be related to me not posting anything for a few days. Out of curiosity, I tried putting up a few new posts, and the front page will display those.

Do you know what setting needs to be changed so that I can take a few days off without the Not Found message appearing?

    Thanks for your help!

Please help! “Not Found” appeared again the next day. I really need to figure out have to have my “fresh” posts appear on the home page like they used to.
