    Hello,
I had set up a site several years ago where a friend could publish an event on her facebook page and timely events calendar would import the event to the calendar on her website. She saw it wasn’t working and has asked me to help trouble shoot the problem. When I login to the wordpress dashboard and go to events > calendar feeds the facebook tab is now gone.
Has this feature been eliminated or is there something new that we need to do now to get this working again? I’m no longer able to follow the documentation here. https://time.ly/document/user-guide/manage-add-ons/facebook-connect/
I’ve searched and don’t see any other threads on this topic.
Thank you in advance for any insight and help.

  • Hi, Facebok connect has been disabled as Facebook has changed its policy with events import/export. That would mean that only old facebook app ids would work, and thus we eliminated it altogether

We are so sorry to hear that. Are you aware of any other plugins that would still have that feature?

You might want to update this page and remove that feature. https://time.ly/

Hi, the problem is that new versions of API limits a lot what you can do. So you cannot create events and you can only import events that you have responded to.
So a user which has an app id created before 30yh April 2014 will have API 1 till 30 april 2015, user who created an app after 30 April 2014 will have API 2.
We decided to deprecate everything to avoid confusion. If you find a plugin which works, let us know so we “take inspiration” ??

Would it do any good to create a new API 2?

It wouldn’t allow exporting and importing would be very limited, so the answer for now it’s no, it’s not worth using Facebook V2 API
