• Dear team:

I just noticed that I have two versions of my podcast on Spotify. I think the issue is connected to the fact that I do have an external podcast host that uses a different rss feed than the general that seriously simple podcasting has generated. Can I circumvent this problem by entering an external rss feed for “publishing”? Thanks for your help.

    Hi @psoylu,

Thanks for contacting us and I apologize for the late response.

I searched for happycoollove Podcast and only found one entry in Spotify, so it looks like you’ve solved your issue. Did it have to do with our plugin or your host?

From your Apple Podcasts link, I did a reverse RSS feed lookup and it seems your with podcaster.de. If they have an integration with Spotify this might have been the reason. Let us know when you have a moment, in case there was an issue on our side that we can take a look at.

Thanks and have a great day.

    Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for getting back to me. My problem right now is that – in the meantime – I redirected the rss feed that seriously simple has allocated to my podcast to the one that my podcast provider has given my podcast. However, ever since I have entered the other rss feed URL to the “redirect” option in seriously simple podcasting, the overview of stats seem to be off. It feels like there is some sort of a “hiccup” with the numbers. Don’t know how else to put it…
    Thanks so much and best,
    Peri

And one more thing: My newsletter seems to be effected as well. The links back to my website are not working anymore ever since I used the re-direct option.

Would be happy about any sort of input as to why this causes such a problem.
    Thanks,
    Peri
