• I am affraid to post this because i know what is going to happen I am going to get chewed out for asking and then get a link to something I have already looked at and don’t understand. I need someone with a little patients who will walk me through Changing the location of my Sidebar. I know it’s been asked before but of all the searching and codex I have looked at I still don’t understand. What file do I start with what am I looking for and what am i going to move? I am Using the default theme because I looked through all the other themes and didn’t find one with a left sidebar that looked Like I could adapt because I have look at the code on it quite a bit (though I understand very little of it).
I hope that is a good enough excuss. Please don’t yell at me ??

  • Ask Tg, he might know a few little patients (he is a gnome afterall). And he just happens to have his sidebar on the left.

    sidebar.php and style.css

Where you need to start is with the stylesheet. The stylesheet controls position of most things.

This thread gives the exact code you need to move the sidebar from the right hand to left hand side. All you need to know is that this is going to be in the stylesheet file in the Presentation | Theme Editor tab.

I’m not going to cut and paste all the code, because the guy with the solution has a couple of other comments you probably ought to read also.

I fixed it… sorta. Firefox CSSedit is helpful!

Keep on going. You’re doing great. Make little step changes.
