• Hi,
I came across a template that has a image file along with the CSS. I tried putting that image file in the root but it didn’t show up.
Can you tell me where you put that image file?
    Thanks!

  • wp-images, I suppose ?

Or better look into the CSS file ?? – where does it call it from.

Actually, the preferred suggestion is that you put images in /wp-content because that folder is meant for everything you add to your site. You CAN put it anywhere you like, but the rule of thumb is to put everything YOU add into that folder. Personally, I put my images into /wp-content/images/. The reason to not put them in wp-images is because the contents of that folder is all of the images used to style WP itself, in terms of the login screens and the like.
The next step you need to take, is to have your CSS file point to the appropriate folder/directory for the image. Just go into the CSS file and look for the path to the image that has already been set, and change it.
    HTH.
