I can see and edit in Pages all the page files except “homepage”. Where do I find “homepage”? I can use Notepad to edit it, but I need to locate it first. Wonder why WordPress doesn’t list it in Pages to enable editing it?

  • Depends on your theme – some have a custom home page set up. What theme are you using?

Thanks, WPyogi, for your response. I’m using the “evolve” theme. I’m attempting to remove these words at appear at the bottom of the page: “Not Found” and “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” They appeared when I removed the default “Hello World” and tried to prevent (via Customize) any comments and responses from occurring on that page. I want it to look and feel like a Web page, not a blog page. I have looked at the page using the browser’s “View page source” and found the code that makes those words appear. I want to simply comment out that code (using Notepad) so those words do not appear. (Thank you, again.)
