• Hello,

    I’m brand new to WordPress and am trying to remove the Leave a Comment link from my home page. I’ve done searches that advise me on what code to remove from my index.php page. Just one problem: I have no idea where that is. In my searches, I find lots of references to it, but no step-by-step explanation of how to find it. The closest I’ve found is on my Dashboard, under Appearance->Editor. However, none of the code that pops up in the Editor box (labeled style.css) resembles the code I’ve seen on index.php references: <php… etc.

    I’m using Twenty Ten. Does this them not have The Loop? Am I looking in the wrong place? Please help! Thanks very much.

  • in twenty ten, the loop ( https://codex.www.ads-software.com/The_Loop ) is in loop.php;

    select this template file form the list on the right in the ‘apearance’ ‘editor’ page.

    general:
    comments can be diabled under ‘dashboard’ ‘settings’ ‘discussion’;
    and for individual posts/pages, below the post/page editor, in a ‘discussion’ field.
    if that does not show, click ‘screen options’ near the top right of these pages – tick ‘discussion’ there to get the fiels to show beow the post/page editor.
