Where is my Footer in Firefox?

  • After making my 2nd post in my blog, my footer is now gone. It shows up fine in I.E. , but not in Firefox. I’m really new to the whole WP and blogging in general so please help!

  • In Firefox I’m seeing what looks like your footer but I’m also seeing a few errors in your HTML which may cause some unexpected behavior.

    Currently there are 31 errors a few of them caused by what looks like a missing </div> for #box.

    Take a few minutes to make your code validate and the footer should start appearing just fine.

    Thanks… what I actually did was just reloaded the theme and redid what I needed to, so the footers’ showing again. But, when i look at the page in I.E. there’s a weird tag that shows up after one of the articles. When i viewed the page source i found this…
    <p class=”MsoNormal”><!–[if !supportEmptyParas]–> <!–[endif]–><o></o></p>

    Any idea what that is?
    It doesn’t show up in Firefox at all, but seems to be where the “comments are closed” is supposed to be.

    Oh, and one more question. HOw did you know how many errors there were in the code? Is there a parser or something to run the code through?

    Unfortunately I’m afraid I don’t recognize the code you’re seeing.

    As for the number of errors – I use two HTML validation extensions in Firefox. The first is HTML Validator the second Web Developer. They slow icons on all pages with HTML errors and HTML Validator also shows you how to fix the errors.

    They’re absolutely excellent extensions.

    Don’t ever copy/paste from MS Word into the wysiwyg editor. Period.
    Paste it first into Notepad and from there to WP – that would get rid of all the garbage you have in your code.
