Once again, I’m new to self hosting and I have this site:

    tintedadvertisinggraphics.com

When I log in to the wp-admin, my left side options just show two options: dashboard and profile. I press dashboard and it just shows Activity (recently published) and WordPress News. I press Profile and it just shows Admin color scheme and contact info. I don’t understand why it’s not showing pages, posts, appearance, etc.

I have a theory that it has something to do with user privileges but I’m not sure. And if it is that I don’t know how to change it.

    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thank You

  • You probably have very little user privileges. If your user role is Subscriber, you’ll only see Dashboard and Profile.

Did you use to be an admin or is there someone else who set up / takes care of the site?

    Thank You for replying,
There was a web designer who developed the site but it was handed over to me to maintain it. He handed over all the files and logins and I’m using the login he provided. How would I check if I am in a Subscriber role?

You can’t check user roles….unless you’re an admin yourself. ??

Did the designer give you any other logins/passwords, or just that one?

That was the one and only he gave us. Is there anything else I can do?

I log in to WP.org, but didn’t see my dashboard
