Where is standard paypal gone?

    On other site I use standard paypal payment, it was just there.

    Now on other site there isn’t there, only extra plugin for this ??

    How to implement this easy standard payment without. extra plugin?

  • WooCommerce PayPal Payments is now official plugin for taking Payment through PayPal.

    Since WooCommerce version 5.5.0, the PayPal Standard payment option is not displayed by default for new installations. However, it’s still available and can be enabled. This doesn’t affect existing stores that are already using PayPal Standard. To enable PayPal Standard on your site, you can follow these steps:

    1. Go to: WooCommerce > Settings > Payments.
    2. Use the toggle under ‘Enabled’ to select PayPal.
    3. Select ‘Set up’. You will be taken to the PayPal Standard settings.
    4. Enter your email address in the ‘PayPal Email’ field. This must match the email address on your PayPal Business account.

    It’s also important to note that while PayPal Standard is still available, support for it is very limited. We strongly encourage users to consider using the recommended PayPal Payments extension, which offers a full-stack solution including credit card processing, PayPal checkout, subscriptions, pay later options, etc.

    I dont understand what you mean, when woocommerce paypal payment ist disabbled the standard paypal is not to see under payments. And your linked plugin Restore…doesn’t change. this.

    Hi @jaroslawistok – just a heads up that there was an update in the recent WooCommerce release that relates to PayPal Standard:
    Update when PayPal Standard is loaded to further reduce new store using this legacy payment method

    As mentioned in our documentation, the standard PayPal option has been phased out for new installations to encourage users to use the more feature-rich WooCommerce PayPal Payments extension.
