I’m confused about where to locate the ‘CSS file’ to customize the colors of a YOP Poll template. I’ve read all the YOP Poll forum posts and don’t see an answer (others have also asked this question, but seem to have made the leap and figured out the location).

I’m not a webmaster. I don’t write code. I know just enough to search code and change hex colors or text size, alignment, etc. I do basic tasks for our non-profit website (install plugins, setup widgets, etc.)

TASK: I want to alter the background color of the YOP Poll ‘grey’ template. And change the shade of blue in the ‘Blue v3’ template. I can’t find anywhere to change or add a hex code.

(I did successfully change the color of the ‘results bar’ under the “Result Options’ tab).

I’ve looked through tabs and options of the YOP Poll plugin. Then I looked under ‘WP Dashboard/Appearance/Edit CSS’ and under ‘WP Dashboard/Appearance/Editor’. No luck.

What am I missing? I appreciate any help offered.

    (I’m using ver. 5.3.)

    Hello

You can find the css code to change under YOP Poll->Templates.

Click on edit for the template you are using and on the next screen you will find the css sections.

Thanks for your reply. I did finally find the CSS.

WHAT IS MISSING from your instructions:

What no one has noted is that the ‘Edit’ area it is composed of FIVE sections. The first section you see is “Template Before Vote”.

If you keep scrolling down, it is followed by sections labeled: “Template After Vote”, “Template Before Start Date”, “Template Before End Date”, THEN -> CSS. (Followed by ‘JavaScript’ section).

At the very bottom is the SAVE button.

When I repeatedly went to the edit screen in search of the CSS, I DID see the first two sections, but DIDN’T think to keep scrolling down to find the CSS section.

I can’t believe it took me so much effort to find the CSS section. Maybe this post will help another ‘newbie’ like myself.

Yes, it’s closed to my satisfaction.
