  • Hi,

    We did remove this feature. We have a planning meeting on Friday and I’d be happy to bring this up. Many have voiced their opinions in favor to add it back.

    Thanks!

    Hi, I would like to add my voice to that request please. The Dashboard overview showing the File Permissions, System Info etc was very helpful.

    Regards David

    Yes it helped me in the past noticing that something was wrong with my site so I favor that.

    Hi, I would like to add my voice to that request please, too!

    you kindly said that the menu will come back on Friday ?? have you some news for us ? thank you ??

    Hey All,

    We’ve just released 5.5.0 which now includes the File Permissions feature. It’s located on the Settings page in the File Permissions module.

    Thanks!

    ?? +++++

    Thank you, that’s great!

    I didn’t think it was working at first but then I discovered there is a conflict between “WP Performance Score Booster” plug in when its “”Remove query strings from static content” element is enabled. Not sure if that’s a problem with the plug in or with iThemes so I have posted on the plugins support page about it as well.

    All the best David

    @milkyco,

    Thanks for reporting this. I’ll do some testing as well!

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    @milkyco,

    Would you mind double checking this? I have the plugin and features enabled and I’m not having any issues viewing the File Permissions feature.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    Hi Gerroald, I just checked this again and it still seemed not to work. I tried unchecking “Filter Suspicious Query Strings” in iThemes Security and saved the setting, then I tried again, still nothing, but then all of a sudden the File Permissions details appeared. However, I switched the iThemes setting back on (as it was originally set), and now the File Permissions Details do appear. It may be that they can be just quite slow to appear and I did not wait long enough, I don’t know.

    Thank you for your help and prompting me to try again.

    All the best David

    @gerroald,

    First of all, thanks for contributing such a wonderful security plugin.

    I am the developer of WP Performance Score Booster plugin, and few of my plugin users reported that when they enable “Remove query strings from static content” option, it prevents iThemes Security (new v 5.5.0) displaying the Fie Permissions Details.

    Have you noticed any conflicts/problems of “Remove query strings from static content” with your iThemes Security plugin?

    Keep the good work up!

    Kind regards,
    — Dipak G.

    @dipak,

    Thanks for contacting us.

    I’ve just recently found your plugin and it’s a fantastic tool!

    I haven’t been able to reproduce this. Have you had more than one report? I have found that some users can hard refresh to initially show it. I’ll keep testing but I believe this might have been David’s issue as well, and I didn’t identify it.

    Either way, if you do find anything please us know if we can help.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

    @gerroald,

    Sure, will do that.

    Many thanks,

    Kind regards,
    — Dipak G.

    Hi @gerroald, Hi @dipak, thank you both very much for your attention to this. All seems to be working absolutely fine now thank you. No idea why it didn’t initially. I hope I wasn’t wasting your time.

    All the best David
