• I am trying to find the footer.php file. When I open in NVU it shows an admin_footer.php file, but when I look on the hosting account no such file exists. I need to put something just before the </body> tag.

I have looked in every folder multiple times. If there is not one do you know where the posts and pages are loaded, I can put it just before the </body> in the template.

    Thanks,

    Tim

  • It’s in your current theme’s folder.

How do I locate the current theme’s folder?

Appearance -> Editor -> Name of theme

    Thank you.

I found Appearance, went to Editor, then Selected theme to edit, and clicked on Footer, as I wanted to add code to put my copyright ? date, etc. into the footer. At that point (after clicking on footer), I was at: EDIT THEMES/Footer (footer.php)…………… and below that was a page full of codes.

Where in all of those codes, should I insert my Copyright ? Code information?

Drop a copy of the file into the WordPress pastebin and post the pastebin url here. Perhaps someone will be able to suggest a solution.

Thank you. I hope this is correct, as using the WordPress pastebin was new to me: here ya go… https://wordpress.pastebin.com/hrPviha1 or see post in archives by Woodrow.

    Thank You.

    Hello, again.

Since I last posted, I’ve been able to cure the problem, … but incase someone else comes along and needs help with the same situation, here’s how I cured it:

I downloaded “Blog Copyright (BTE)”… (it’s a plugin), to my wordpress site, enter the information on a form that was pre-written by the plugin, and clicked on update.

Boom, it was just that simple… done!

PS: esmi, thanks for helping me along.
