where is the "front page displays" setting

    Have you looked under Settings > Reading?

    yes but the option is not there im lost

    Is it a blank page or do you see some of the other settings?

    try:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    no still not there think i will re install everything?

    Do you see any of the other settings? Did you do an upgrade recently (WordPress/plugins/theme)?

    try:
    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder from a fresh download of WordPress. by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. (see manual upgrade)
