  • You made it almost impossible for anyone to help you. You don’t link to your site, and you don’t mention your theme. The fees for psychic assistance around here are astronomical! ??

That being said, the icons are probably located /wp-content/themes/Prestige/img/icons/header/

When you get there you may find that the images for the social media icons are already transparent png’s. You may want to consult the documentation that came with your theme, or login over at themeforrest and visit the support section for your version of the theme, to find out the best way to change the colors (or the images).

    Good luck to you!

Thanks Clayton, sorry, I’m very new at this and I’m not the owner of the site so I’m groping in the dark here too.

I’ve been given access to the site through the Internet, by logging into the site itself. I’m helping remotely with layout and editing etc. Many things I can see to change but I don’t see a folder tree anywhere. It certainly isn’t on MY computer! The only thing that I have is the WordPress GUI and I don’t see any folder trees in there. And the theme I’m using is Prestige Dark vol.1 1.0 by Digital Cavalry.

I’m guessing the person who downloaded the site in the first place is hosting it all somewhere?

    (Is that clearer? ??

No problem… Just having a little fun with you!

You’re pretty much right on track with your thinking. There’s no way to access or edit the theme images directly from the WordPress dashboard. You will need access to the file manager from the owners hosting account, or else you will need the ftp account address and login information in order to access the files using an ftp client.
