I want to configure my site so it can run your plugin but I can’t seem to figure out where I should navigate to place the rules. Here is the error.

Your server does not supports using .htaccess files from custom locations. Or your server requires additional configuration for the plugin to function properly.

If you are using Nginx server, please contact your hosting support (or server administrator) and send them the following message:
"I am trying to configure Converter for Media plugin with WebP and AVIF support. In order to do this, I have been asked to contact you for help adding required rules to Nginx configuration of my website - https://azoralsurgery.com. More information in the plugin FAQ: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/webp-converter-for-media/faq/ (in the question: Configuration for Nginx)"

If you are using Apache server, this issue usually related to the virtual host settings in the Apache configuration. In the .conf file appropriate for your VirtualHost, in the <Directory>...</Directory> section, replace the value of AllowOverride None with the value of AllowOverride All. In this case, please contact your server administrator.

@sergisaimora Unfortunately, that doesn’t tell me much. Sorry. I don’t know your hosting. I have never dealt with him, nor have I had any reports.

My plugin is used by over 200,000 users – problems such as yours are a fraction of a percent of users, so it’s hard for me to say something more in this situation.
