Where is the SMTP password stored?

  • I saved my smtp login/password to do a test. I notice it said that it is stored in plain text. I ran the test and then deleted it from the password box. I then added it to the wp-config.php file.

    I want to make sure there isn’t some file floating around on my server/database with my password stored in it in plain text.
