• New to blogs and wordpress, been building websites with expression web. I can not for the life of me find the darn visual editor anywhere. I have searched the web, forum and every where in between, but to no avail.

When I’m looking for it I go under themes, edit = but the only thing here is a HTML editor. I can not find this TinyMCE thing and I downloaded WP super edit but still no visual editor.

I don’t mind the HTML, but I like to see the visual (wysiwyg) changes as I write, which I’m used to doing in Web with split view.

I think I may just be to tired by now to figure it out.

    Stormy

  • Are you trying to editing a theme (HTML/JS and CSS)? WP Super Edit is a plugin for the wysiwyg you use to write blog posts and pages, not themes.

You can edit themes using tools like Dreamweaver, Coda or Notepad. Or just edit the html files in the window (though not as slick).

Admin/Users & Authors/Your Profile. Check that you haven’t ticked “Disable visual editor”.
Also try deactivating all plugins and check to see if this resolves the problem. If it does, activate the plugins one by one – checking the Visual Editor after each re-activation – until you find the problematic plugin(s).

I’m just trying to change the pictures and insert text etc. Having no experience with PHP it’s driving me nuts.

Just looking for the best way to ad pictures to the 125×125 areas of https://www.idol-white.com and other areas. Is there no visual editor to do this.

Besides just digging around in each PHP file to find the right code to change is there an easier way to do this with PHP.

I have put the entire theme file into expression web, but it comes up looking quite messed up. Is there a home, default file page in themes that I’m missing.

    Thanks for the help

WordPress must be used for its ease of use, but so for I have failed to figure this out.

I’m used to expression web where I click on an area I want to change and just start writing or insert pictures etc. Where is this in WordPress?
