    Hi

Probably missing something, but where is the Vat number entered – expecting to see a field on checkout?

    Hi glennyboy,

Collecting VAT numbers from businesses for B2B transactions is a feature of the Premium counterpart of this plugin: https://www.simbahosting.co.uk/s3/product/woocommerce-eu-vat-compliance/

For full info on the split of features which are in the free version and which aren’t, please see the plugin description page on www.ads-software.com here:

    Hi David

Can I confirm that these details are collected and validated at Checkout in the premium plugin then? Also can I also confirm that VAT validity can be validated cross Europe codes regardless of the products in the basket. Some plugins only seem to validate if the products are virtual/downloadable. Basically just as important as applying the right tax is the validity/formation of the VAT code.

    Thanks

    Hi Glennboy,

Yes, they are collected + validated in the Premium version, using the EU’s validation system. Concerning products in the basket, this is configurable – by default, a VAT number is looked for if there’s any VAT on the order at all; it can also be configured to only care about certain product classes if preferred.
