Where is version 1.1.6 ?

I did see that if you download the theme files from https://wordpress.com/theme/ixion in the readme.txt file a changelog is included. This is what I saw for 1.1.6, a pretty minor change from the looks of it.

As for why the version on .org is still at 1.1.5 I’ve asked (but have not gotten a reply yet) though I did note in the readme.txt file I saw this noted: Stable tag: 1.1.5

I’ll update you here as soon as I get some official word from the devs as to why we have not updated the theme in the repo to the latest version. Thanks for your patience and I hope you are well friend!

After chatting with the theme team, it seems that because Ixion is pretty much retired at this point we’re no longer updating it on the .org repo. It’d have a hard time getting through the review process at this point as well since the theme is an older one, so getting the repo updated to 1.1.6 would be non-trivial at this point, which is another complication.

It’s pretty rare for us to push an update (like you saw in your dashboard) for themes we’re retiring but I’m guessing the RTL issue was a bit of an edge case but significant enough that it warranted pushing an update to all users. Hope this helps!

Sorry for my belated reply.

The changeset is okay, but I get your point about it being retired and the hoops that would be needed to jump through.

Picky, but currently Ixion here says
“This theme hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.”
It would be good if a8c, or the Theme Team changed that to “It’s dead Jim” so potential users know it’s floated away into space. The same of course should apply to all such dated WP themes. Oh, and plugins too. Or maybe just remove them from being listed?

As it stands Ixion is good for the site I look after but I’ll take the hint and browse around.
