where is wordpress data hosted?

    Hello and thanks in advance for guidance. Am new to WordPress, but need to step in and figure out an existing WP.org site so that we can upgrade as req’d. It was configured by contractors that are no longer in business and undocumented. All we have is the wp.org admin login and the domain name host where the wp content is published. Have read there should be a cpanel for file access, but no indication of what that is. Can somebody help please and point me in the right direction? Thank you.

    Your hosting provider should be able to provide you with the cpanel credentials. Once you login to cpanel you’d be able to access the file manager and database.

    The domain is our b2c web site. The WP content is a sub-site.

    For chits98, we don’t know the WP data host, only that of the final content version of the data.

    Hi and thank you, we’ve been that route, but doesn’t look like we’re self-hosting the wordpress data, which is what prompted my post. We’re trying to locate the hosting admin software including control panel with logon and don’t see any references to what or where that would be from either our wordpress admin site nor the b2c site where our content is ultimately hosted. Appreciate your tip on who is though.

    Thanks, but that just results in a page not found error. Am sure something simple missing, just a matter of figuring it out. Thanks again.
