Where to add Webmaster Tools meta tag in this header

  • Can someone please tell me where to place the meta tag to verify my site for Google webmaster tools. I have read the instructions but am unsure of exactly where it goes in this header. Many thanks if you can help me out.

    can any body help please. Above suggestion is not working.

    How is it not working? Anywhere between the <head> and </head> tags will be fine.

    the place you have it is fine. in header.php under all the other meta things.

    I usually always put mine under
    <meta name="generator" content="WordPress <?php bloginfo('version'); ?>" /> <!-- leave this for stats -->

    in my WP installs

    It depends on the theme header.php file. I’ve seen some that make it difficult to verify. Here is a video that shows you how to get it verified: Verify your WordPress Website in Google Webmaster Tools.
