First of all, I wanted to say we’re developing a second site already with WPL, it’s a really great plugin. So the problem we have is for this site, we need to split the listings into five categories, and I can see, edit, add, delete them in Data Structure -> Property Types -> Categories. From what I understand I can also filter them to be displayed on the front end using the “sf_ptcategory” parameter in the shortcode (as mentioned here, in point #18: https://support.realtyna.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/827/0/how-can-i-find-a-reference-to-wpl-shortcode).

My question is where do I assign or categorize each property? I’ve searched everywhere, maybe I’m missing something really obvious, but I don’t see the option anywhere when creating or editing listings, nor in the listing manager or even in the Flex. By logic, it should be in the Basic Details, I did search in all the other tabs too just in case but it’s nowhere to be found, apparently.

Can anybody point me in the right direction? What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for any help and guidance! ??

    Hi,

    Thanks for your feedback.
In WPL, all of the property types and categories can be connected with each other.
Once a property type gets assigned to a property, that property automatically also takes the category value that the property type at hand has.

So, instead of assigning the category manually, you can organize them in WPL -> Data Structure based on your preference, and during the listing addition process, assign just the property type, which will automatically set the category and have the desired effect.
