    Hello,

We want to use your plugin for users to submit tributes and memorial messages and would like to change a couple of the labels on the submission form to better fit this application.

    For example:
    change “Heading” to “Headline”
change “A headline for your testimonial” to “a headline for your message”

    change “Testimonal” to “Message”
change “What do you think of us?” to “What do you have to say?”

change “ADD TESTIMONIAL” on submit button to “ADD MESSAGE”

These are small changes, but genericizing the language can make a difference when the application deals with memorial message submissions.

I think these minor changes are subtle enough that where the plugin is used on sites collecting actual testimonials the language will still work well.

I searched all the files for the terms to change and changed them in the .pot file and one hard coded reference in the defaults.php, but the form still displays the original. I tried clearing my browser cache, but I must be missing something.

I realize these changes will get overwritten on plugin update and will accommodate that somehow. Perhaps duplicating the modified plugin and changing the version number to a very high version number so it will not update. ??

    Can you assist?

Change the labels in Testimonials > Fields. Here’s a full tutorial: https://www.wpmission.com/customize-the-form-in-strong-testimonials/

Change the submit button in Testimonials > Settings > Form tab.

I despise workarounds. Instead of changing the plugin, just let me know what you want to be able to change and I will add it, within reason, because chances are someone else has the same need.

    Hi Chris,

I think you covered most all the things I wanted to change. Yipee! ??
I just overlooked those places to change them.

However, it would be awesome to be able to change the testimonial font colors and background colors with admin settings so that we need not muck about in css.

This is an example of where css was required to get the testimonial fonts to be visible but its unclear which css can change the form background and testimonial background independent of each other.

I do see that you have some premium templates coming soon and I look forward to grabbing them all. ??

    Thanks!
