theme questions

  • Hi, I am only new just started to build my first WP website about month ago. Using responsive them EVOLVE. All the YouTube videos and tutorials make it all seem so simple! I keep versions up todate etc. And I try and learn quicker, having EVOLVE theme on both my 2 different hosting providers as I go.

    I am now wasting hours and days trying to make progress but stuck!and I have much I still want to add. Anyways, I can add/delete Widgets from my menu pages except for About tab and Ive no idea why? It wont display the text I add to the About page, like my Home page.

    Also I can remove the ‘default bootstrap widget box’ from my pages but not from About???

    Please anyone…

    Thank you for replying! I think i’ve worked out part problem, I need a website more than running blog. So Dashboard/settings/reading/front page displays and STATIC HOME FRONT PAGE and changed the POSTS page to select- all. At the mo I dont have need for posts or want it set on my six existing pages.     Moving on now to another problem lol…

    I want my sidebar image widget to fit into dimensions.
    Looking at CSS files? I cant see anything suggest width or pixels. But
    I know my template is max 1200 px wide. I have main content space (width?) and a column for widgets Left space(width?)
