    Hello,
I’m new here and would like to know where I can find which version of wordpress my blog is running. I’d also like to add an Amazon.com widget but all I get is text.
    Thanks!

  • its in your source code if you hit view source from your browser while looking at your site

its also at the bottom of your admin area I believe (mine is heavily modified so I forget)

where and how are you trying to add amazon?

Thanks for your quick reply RVoodoo.
I want to add an Amazon Product cloud widget, I guess on the side of my blog. It only appears as text as it is Java. When I try to install a plugin that might help, I get a warning that certain widgets have not been tested with my wordpress blog.

some plugins will still work, some wont

If you just have code to place into your sidebar you can do so with a simple text widget that ships with wordpress

drop the text widget in sidebar, paste your code in there

if the standard text widget won’t run the code for you, this one will. I use it for all sorts of stuff

Thanks again. Found the version and will try the recommended widget.

The widget works! Some of the wording overlaps a bit but it’s better than just script.
