    I wish to have the blog address be the one/only name rather than sending to another level…

    1) uniquename.com = yes
    2) uniquename.com/blog = no

    to install on server version 2) = upload wordpress to httpdocs/blog (wordpress files would be placed inside folder named blog)

    my question, to install 1) do i place all wordpress files = httpdocs/all wordpress files (there is already an index.html within httpdocs. do i point the “index.html” to the wordpress file “index.php” ?

  • Move all your wordpress directoies/files from the (blog directory) to the root (httpdocs) and delete the existing index.html file.

    Of course, you will need to make sure you have the correct location entered in your config file.
