Where to Install a Network test site?

  • I have a working Network WordPress installation in the root of a domain, with the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin used to define a second site as a subdomain of another domain. Now I want to build a test Network site.

    Can I create it in a folder of the original domain? Or should I use a subdomain of the original domain?

    I ask because I just built my test site as domain.com/nettest and am starting, after adding a second site to the test site’s network, to get weird problems (blank screens) when I try to access the Network Admin panels.

    Any suggestions would be welcomed.

    You mean a second multisite?

    Do it in a subfolder, unless you want to use a multinetwork plugin.
