    Hello,

First off, great plugin. I’ve found it works great in most browsers, however I found a tiny hiccup:

I could not get the modal window images to work in IE9, 8, 7, and 9’s compatibility mode. It either displays as a red X or doesn’t display anything at all. Have you encountered this before? It’s working fine in all other browsers. This is with using the gallery shortcode with choosing each photo’s ID to display in the gallery.

Also, I noticed in a forum post created about 6 months ago that you have included the ability to add a filter so this plugin could point to a different CSS file. I made the mistake of updating the plugins css files, and shortly thereafter everything was overwritten, causing me to explore other options.
    – If you would, please tell me where I may put this filter so I can re-direct the css to my own. Do I put it in my theme’s functions.php? Or do I put it in the plugin’s sm-gallery.php itself?

    Thanks,

    -Pale

Good questions. First, we do realize there are some problems in IE, though IE9 should handle it just fine. You can use HTML doctypes to force IE to “not” be in compat mode, but the jquery library used for the “slider” just doesn’t seem to work properly in IE7/8 when placed in the modal box.

As for css, let me get back to you on that. I can’t remember if we put the filter in already or not.

    Hi, me again.

I hope I’m not bothering you too much, but does this plugin give functionality to have more than one modal gallery on one page / post?

I’ve tried to add more than one, and it creates a separate thumbnail for each gallery, but when you click on either it groups all the photos inside of the same gallery (for both)

I will get back to you on this as well. It was built thinking you could create multiple modal boxes, one for each gallery, but that was never tested. Please be patient as we get to your issues.

Sorry, I know its been a while, I should be able to get to updating the plugin with a filter and trying out “multiple modals”. I did review the code and multiple “gallery” areas work just fine. You may be right though, having multiple “modal” graphics may be impossible until we enhance the plugin some more.

If you are still available and using the plugin, can I get a link to where your trying to use it. I finally have some time to update the code. I think you wanted 2 things:
    1. Ability to disable plugins CSS and Enable your own
    2. Ability to create multiple images that load modal box galleries.

    Was there anything else?

    1. NOTE this excerpt from the shortcode -> thumb_class=”gallery-thumb”, then you can style in your CSS file however you want.
    2. Clearly you can see multiple modal box gallaries load just fine at this time… finally resolved sorry for the delay, hard to keep up with all these free plugins.
