Where to safe translations correct?

    It should show you the exact location, but in general yes, files in custom locations should not be updated automatically by WordPress.

    System files are updated by the WordPress translation updater.
    Author files are updated by the WordPress theme/plugin updater.
    Custom files should be safe.

    Ok great. Because when I go there, I can only choose between these 3 options.
