where to upload php files and how to include them on page or post

    I have a php file that says
    echo ” *html stuff for a links bar*”

    i have uploaded it to my server using filezilla
    i have put it in my theme folder with all the other php documents from the theme. But i dont know if that is where it should be. hence that is Question 1.

    on my page i have
    <?php include ‘links.php’; ?>

    I can never seem to get includes to work, im probably also doing something wrong and that is question 2.

    sorry it’s echo “blablabla”;

    the html in the echo uses ‘ ‘ instead of ” “
    is that my problem?
