I’m using the latest wordfence version with 4.3.1.
I understand that publishing a new post should clear the cache, however, saving a draft also clears the cache. Saving a private post does the same.
I was wondering which actions clear the cache and which don’t.

    Thanks,

    krko

    The documentation says:

You publish a post, then the cache for that post will be cleared.
You publish a new page, then the cache for that page will be cleared.

But it’s not. ALL of the cache is cleared when I do that.

Thanks for the report — I tested this without other plugins enabled and can confirm the same problem.

I think this may be related to the other items listed in the documentation you referenced at Events that cause the Falcon cache to auto-clear, such as the post, term, and page cache actions. There may have been a change in the WordPress core, as to which actions are called at certain times.

I will look into this more, and will submit a bug report to the dev team — it may be a while before I post back here with more details.

    Hi Matt,

Thanx. Good to hear it’s a bug and that it’s not a specific case.
Hope this gets fixes as soon as possible.

    All best,

    Goran,

I’ve found various WordPress hooks that are causing the cache to be cleared more often than it should be, and have submitted this to the dev team. The reference number for this is FB507. I don’t have an estimate of when the cache clearing behavior will be changed, but just wanted to let you know the status.

Interested in the result of this. Thanks for a great plugin.
