    Hello,

I am working with Hustle as the popup opt-in form and Mailpoet as the newsletter plugin. Now I obviouly don’t want to display the opt-in to people who come to the website through the newsletter. I tried to catch them as much as possible through the url which contains the name mailpoet as it contains the variable utm_source=mailpoet.

But the problem is when users go from there to another article on the website. The utm_source variable is no longer part of the url, so the popup is shown anyhow.

Now I want to try to catch this visitor with a cookie. But I don’t know which cookies are sent by Mailpoet and which name they have. Can somebody help me with that? So I need the name of the cookie(s) which are being sent from Mailpoet when a user clicks on a link in the newsletter.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there @mwilbers,

    Thanks for reaching out!

The only cookie set by MailPoet is popup_form_dismissed and it’s set in the user’s browser when they dismiss the pop-up form.

What you’re trying to achieve is not possible with the MailPoet plugin out of the box.

However, it might be possible with some custom code. If you need help with custom code, you can reach out to someone from Codeable: https://codeable.io.

You’re also welcome to add it as a suggestion here https://feedback.mailpoet.com

Our team will take it into account when discussing new features and improvements for the plugin.

Enjoy the rest of your day and stay safe!
