    I re-run my import daily, and for existing products I only have the _stock field configured to update to reflect stock levels.

    New products in my file are added as drafts.

    If the CSV file contained a new variation for an existing published product, are there additional fields I need to update for existing products? How is it handled if the product is published but then a new size/colour gets added afterwards?

    Hi @embercide,

    It should work as-is since newly present products will have all of their data imported.

    How is it handled if the product is published but then a new size/colour gets added afterwards?

    As long as your import is a “New Items” import (see: https://d.pr/5s8uX9), it will just create the new variation for the existing variable product.

    Are you running into any specific issues when you try this?

    @wpallimport thanks for your reply.
    Yes I’m having a nightmare of an issue that I can’t recreate on a blank database – I’m in the process of setting up a local dev site with my database for you to login and review.

    Essentially the scenario is this:
    1. New product in CSV with 3 variations gets imported correctly.
    2. The import job is run a 2nd time with no changes to the CSV, and 1 or more variations get deleted from the new product.
    3. Delete this new product, run the import job a 3rd time with no changes to the CSV, product gets created again with all 3 variations!

    Hi @embercide,

    That’s strange. Once you’re able to replicate it on a server we can log into, please open a support request at https://www.wpallimport.com/support/ with the details and we’ll figure out what’s going wrong.
