    Hi @alsur,

I’m checking with our developer regarding this to see if any other workaround could be suggested other than keeping open_basedir disabled fully.

However, the mentioned error should be more specific to Local version of BLC, you could try the Cloud version and see if that helps with running the BLC scanner without any issue too.

Please check this doc for more info about Cloud version:

    Kind Regards,

    Hi @alsur,

?I was wondering what specific files or folders need those permissions to fix the issue, so at least we can limit it exclusively to those in apache.

I’m afraid, there isn’t any exact files we could recommend, we do have plans to improve the workflow regarding this down the roadmap but at the moment I’m afraid there isn’t any exact ETA.

In the meantime, we strongly advise consulting with your hosting provider. They are well-equipped to identify the precise reasons behind the block and can offer the most effective solutions.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

Thanks for prompt reply. This is our own server in this case, but applying extra permissions to anything related to WordPress plugins is a red flag, that’s why the question.

    Hi @alsur,

Hope this message finds you well.

We got some feedback from our BLC team.

First, thanks for your suggestions, your feedback plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our plugins, our BLC explained that they will take a look over it but I am afraid we can’t provide an ETA at this time.

If you have further suggestions or questions, please feel free to share them with us. We are always here to listen and assist you in any way we can.

    Best regards,
    Laura
