Hi Andrea, first of all, congratulations with your new plugin!

Google has a lot of API’s related to geolocation, which Google API key is needed for the plugin?

    Regards
    Carsten

    Hello juriss,

Are you interested in a specific language, or in the translation process in general?

I think better is translation process in general, with translated language Pot files.

I realized I forgot the call to load_plugin_textdomain, I’ve added it now in version 1.0.1.

Could you please try the new version?

Still not work. Some strings are from BP Profile Search, and they also do not translate.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I export Pot files from translate.www.ads-software.com, insert to:
    /wp-content/languages/bp-distance-search/
with file name eg. “bp-profile-search-es_ES.po” and “bp-profile-search-es_ES.mo”.
I try also the language files insert to plugin folder, under new subfolder “languages”, but also no change.

    Hello juriss,

I’m not familiar with the old manual way to install translations. The current way is as follows:

    1. Go to Settings => General, and set Site Language to your language. The admin language switches immediately to your language.

    2. Go to Dashboard => Updates (now in your language) and, at the bottom of that page, click Update Translations. All the available translations for your themes and plugins are automatically installed, and their language switches to your language.

    3. Translations for BP Distance Search are not available yet, but you can add one yourself on https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/bp-distance-search/. When you complete the translation, it will become available as explained in step 2.

Please let me know if this works for you!

However, it doesn’t work for me.

    Hello juriss,

I’m afraid you didn’t follow step 3 of the above procedure. Which language are you interested in?

I did it, but it doesn’t work for BP Profile Search also. Other plugins work..

If you look at this page:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bp-distance-search/

on the right sidebar there is a line:

    Languages: See all 2

If you click ‘See all 2’ you can see there are two languages only, English and Italian.

If you need a different language, you have to add the translation yourself in this page:

    https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/bp-distance-search/

Probably the other plugins that work for you are using the old way to install translations, but unfortunately I’m not familiar with the old system.

    Thank you Andrea, I’ll try.

    Hello juriss,

I see you haven’t added a new language yet, do you need help to proceed?

Hello Andrea, with the translation I was clear, the new wp has slightly changed language file structure.
But I notice some different Css for Profile and Distance Search on Kleo – input boxes of distance on homepage too long (sitewide), and vertical space between description and input field too high.
I don’t know if it is a plugin or theme issue.

    Hello juriss,

I don’t have access to the Kleo code, so I’m unable to look into this issue.

I suggest you contact the Kleo team for advice.
