Which is better, root directory or in a folder?

    May be a bit late to move the site, but the question is which is better installing in the root directory or the old style way that Matt Cutts showed, a simple front page, and a folder to install WordPress?

    I think I may be a bit behind the times. I do have a few more installs to do for other charities similar to mine. https://tinyurl.com/86auvne

    Neither is inherently “better”. It depends where you want WordPress to run on your domain.

    Thank you, with my fantastic skills with HTML I think I will stick with the root directory installs from now on.
