    A few weeks ago I created a backup, which lies in
    …/wp-content/uploads/wp-staging/backups/

    Now I want that backup restored, but as a staging site,
    so not on the location of the current live site.

    It should be at the same server… the live site lies in
    …/public_html/blog
    the staging site has to be in
    …/public_html/staging

    Which steps do I have to take with the WP-STAGING
    plugin to realize this?

    Hello,

    restoring a backup on a different website is currently not supported by the free version and will require the WP Staging pro version.
