Our church is trying to use WP Mail SMTP (free version) to send emails from their outreach ministry website to various staff when people submit forms. However, those emails are not being sent. We are using the “Other SMTP” setting and have verified all the info is correct, yet WP Mail fails to authenticate the username/password (though we’ve verified they are correct).

IT is now wondering what version of TLS is being used by WP Mail. How do I find this?

    Hi @jrothra,

Thanks for reaching out! WP Mail SMTP plugin doesn’t use any specific TLS version. TLS is a protocol used to establish a secure connection between servers. That means our plugin just announces that it wants to use TLS encryption, and it’s up to your server to use a specific version of it.

In other words, it will automatically use the latest version of TLS that is installed on your server to create the connection.

When you get a chance, please share the full error log with your hosting/email support and they should be able to assist you further.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
