    Hi,
Please ask your server support to update your php version. Download Manager ( > 2.8.3) requires php version > 5.3

If it is not possible to update php right now. You can get back to old version. Download it from here https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/download-manager.2.8.3.zip

    Sorry for the trouble.

    Thanks.

I just overrode with the old version and I still can’t get into the backend and also this is appearing at the top of my website Warning: include(wpdm-core.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/92/8935692/html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 108

After that I updated php to 5.4 AND newest download manager and same issue.

Deactivate and delete current installed version, then install old version using WordPress plugin installer.

If you need help in this issue create a support topic here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/forum/download-manager-free/ for further information.

    Thanks.

Updating WordPress shouldn’t create any issue as you have updated your PHP version. This issue was related to WPDM and php version. Latest version WPDM works fine with WordPress 4.5
