White Screen 500 Error on Activation

  • Installed WordPress on an AWS Linux 2 instance.

    Everything is working.

    When I download the AWS Polly plugin and active. It goes to a white screen.

    I have to delete the plug-in directory and then the site is back up and running as below. I have zero plug-ins installed. This is a fresh install of WordPress.

    Hi @mda1125,
    Thank you for reporting this. Any chances to get the logs? Also did you install the WordPress by yourself or was it already baked in AMI?

    I can get the logs (if you can provide me the best location and logs to provide)

    I installed WordPress myself using this tutorial. It was not baked into the AMI.

    Turned on Debug and installed the Plug-In
    Clicked Activate
