    Hi,

I installed this plugin which seems great BUT when anyone other than administrators log in they get a white screen instead of the dashboard (no dashboard at all).
If I deactivate the plugin the problem goes away.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you resolve it?

    Thanks

    Update:
In Settings>Access Control>Reports it says that leaving the Capability blank will allow all roles access to reports but actually it removes the reports from all users instead. If I add Capability ‘read’, admins can see reports, no other user can log in at all (white screen). Its the same if I change the Capability to anything other than an admin capability.

If I turn ‘Restrict Authors’ off, everyone can log in and see everything – But I don’t want my authors seeing stats that aren’t theres (the main reason I chose this plugin was for that feature).

Good catch. We’re going to fix this bug in the next release. If you could help us test it in advance, it would be much appreciated. Contact us at https://support.wp-slimstat.com

    Thanks,
    Jason

I set up an Editor user to view the stats, but the Dashboard page is a white screen – other admin pages can be viewed.

Having read this page, I used WP Rollback to roll back from version 4.6.9.1 to version 4.6.9, but this had no effect – still a white screen for the Editor user.

Then I rolled back to version 4.6.8 and the Dashboard page was available again for the Editor user.

It looks like it must be a change introduced in version 4.6.9 that causes the issue.

So, would you be able to test the next update?

    Hello Jason,

Yes, I have sent the login details to my client now, and he might change the password. Then I would have to create another user to test the plugin, but that’s OK.

Let me know when you would like me to test it.

    Regards,
    Ambrose

We’ll release the fix early next week.

Well, I’ve upgraded to the latest version 4.7, and the Admin dashboard for an Editor account is now working as normal – no white screen!

I was a bit slow to do the testing as you requested, but it looks like you’ve fixed it. Thank you and well done!
