  • You can upload a fresh (unedited, a.k.a. backup) copy of the files that you changed.

A fresh download and upload will help. MAke sure you backup all the important files before you do it. You may try ask your support team from your hosting provider for assistance.

do you know where you added the code

thank you for all of the help. govpatel i added the code in the theme function php — new question. I have retieved a back up and unziped it in notepad. the file has an sql2 extension. does anyone know how i upload this now to wp.org?

Replace theme functions.php file if did not make much changes to file if you did make changes then you will have to open the file in editor and remove what you added and upload it back.

I did not understand unziped in notepad is it just one file or whole backup as you cannot unzip full backup in notepad

govpatel- thank you. I do not know how to get back into my wp site, the wsod is on my login page too. I did not make many changes, I know what to do to get rid of them if I could just get in!!! <me pulling my hair out> – I unzipped the file in note pad, i am not sure of how much was there so i saved the file with the sql2 extension as well. does that help?

Using ftp log in your server and rename the theme you were using in w-content/themes folder so the default theme opens.
