    Hi,
Thanks for the great plugin. It’s been working perfectly! However I just updated the plugin to the latest version and I got the white screen of death. I’m running the latest version of WordPress.
I’ve re-installed the previous version of the plugin and everything’s fine again. Just thought I’d let you know there may be a compatibility issue.
    Thanks

    Hi phpbits,

Is this the error log you’re after?

    [HTTP/2.0 500 Internal Server Error 341ms]
The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the page must be declared in the document or in the transfer protocol.

    Thanks

@handstand The error.log on your server file. That will have the detailed error log and which file. Thanks!

Sorry, is this what you’re looking for?

[07-Sep-2018 05:01:46] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ‘)’ in /home/…/public_html/…/wp-content/plugins/widget-options/includes/widgets/display.php on line 231

    Thanks

@handstand What PHP version are you using? Thanks!

ahhh, yes, I forgot about that. I’m currently running version 5.2. I requested it be upgraded, but because the current live site is running with it, I can’t upgrade it until we switch to the new site which is currently in development, and using this plugin.

I knew it would catch me out eventually!

@handstand You can use the old version for now and just update when you’ve upgraded the PHP version ?? Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your help! I’ll update the plugin when we go live and update our version of php ??

@handstand You are very welcome! I’ll mark this ticket as resolved now. Cheers!
